Slobber straps add a bit of weight to the rein, and they give a quicker release to the horse who is giving to pressure. They also protect your reins from damage.
These Weaver slobber straps are approx 11" long (5.5" folded over), and are 1" wide. Choose from russet or burgundy. $12 per pair.

These Slobber straps are much longer, wider and thicker than the slobber straps above.
They're 18" long (9" folded over), and 2" wide, with beautiful scalloped edges. Very nice strong, yet supple leather. Currently available in London Tan and Chestnut - $19.50 per pair
